PPA Review and Planning Workshop

ANSAB organized the two day Annual Review and Planning Meeting on January 9th and 10th, 2004 inGodavari,Kathmandu. The meeting brought together vital representatives from the DPR (Department of Plant Resources), DoF (Department of Forest), AVEDA, Rainforest Alliance, IDRC India (International Development Research Center) , EESIC, Ford Foundation India, SION, FECOFUN (Federation of Community Forest Users, Nepal), HBTL (Himalayan Bio - Trade Ltd.), GAC (Gorkha Ayurved Company), AHI (Alternative Herbal Industry), SNV (The Netherlands Development Organization), NSCFP, and ANSAB to review the achievements of the alliance activities and plan for the future. Goals for the next year included securing active participation from US product buyers and designers, certification experts, government agencies, donors and alliance members.

The PPA review and planning meeting discussed past successes, completed, through wide consultation, a work plan for the following year, and worked to further the positive environment for the promotion of NTFP market linkages and forest certification process.
