ANSAB’s experience on Community based enterprise approach featured in the Asia Pacific Mountain Courier


ANSAB’s decade long experience on testing and lessons learned on community based enterprise approach was published in the Asia Pacific Mountain Network’s Newsletter (Volume 11, No. 1, October 2010). The article is titled “Biodiversity Conservation in Nepal using a Community-based Enterprise Approach: A Decade of Testing and Lessons Learned” and authored by the Executive Director Bhishma P. Subedi, Natural Resource Management Program Manager Shiva Shankar Pandey, and Economic Development Program Manager Sushil Gyawali. The article emphasized on the community organization for natural resource management and economic development with the goals of facilitating community-based enterprise development, establishing linkages to value chains, and initiating a certification system to expand the market for valuable Himalayan non-timber forest products.
